Miami Vice

Fast life. Fast Cars, Fast Money, Fast Woman and Drugs.

During the 80's there was a massive issue with drugs. It leads to the police being hard on crime for the government and especially with crack. It was cheap to make and had a very easy turnover for the city or ghettos. That was the thing about the 80's people had too much disposable income that they didn't really know what do with it, the house at the time was really cheap, everyone wanted a new exciting life. This birthed the Yuppies; who aren't really the bad guys in Miami Vice, it was very stereophonic with the casting of the bad guys; though it viewed as very much forward thinking because of its main character was black.   Miami Vice as a Tv hit every part of 80's culture. For such the fashion they mirrored but also set, this is clearly highlighted by the white suit seen in lots of show e.g Friends.
This show as it starts at the begin also hinted on the past of the late 70's because it touches on the Vietnam War, and the lingering that it left in America after that time, along with the impact is left. It made the 80's seem to glamourize to the watchers about how the good guy wasn't always that good. It highlighted how it moved from the slow and steady in the 70's to this fast place business life style. This it way people took Crack to much, the drug it's self makes the user fast enough to keep up with this new era.
